I've had good luck pulling the line off the filter (upstream) and pressure up using fuel or ATF while someone is cranking.

WTB OEM radio / cassette player

I would like to find a working radio/cassette player for a 85 Golf. The one in there now phases in and out and is very annoying. It doesn't matter if the cassette player works since I only listen to the radio.

Thanks

PEX-FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What is PEX? PEX is cross-linked Polyethylene. Through one of several processes, links between polyethylene macromolecules are formed to create bridges between PE molecules (thus the term "cross-linked). This resulting molecule is more durable under temperature extrem...

OK, one more question about fuel delivery.....

What size WVO line is best to run? I have a source for 1/2" Stainless tubing for free and was kicking around if I could run PEX inside of it, problem is it would probably have to be 1/4" or 3/8" PEX, is that to small? I'm not even sure what sizes that stuff comes in. The beauty of the...

How do you protect the hot water lines

Sorry if this is old stuff but how do you all protect the rubber heater hose that's running under the car? I looked mine over pretty good and decided not to run the hose in the center tunnel like I thought I would because the exhaust is to close.

Thanks

Put it on eBay....I can almost guarantee you will find a buyer. WVO cars are selling high on there.

That's great Clay! How often are you changing the wvo filter? Have you forgotten to flush before stopping? That's a fear I have with running grease.

I'm planning mine out right now and hope to start as soon as I pull a few irons from the fire so to speak.

Thanks all for the help and advice, I need all I can get. I have been a mechanic all my life so some of this stuff is familiar and a lot of it isn't. My aim is to not help line pockets of the already filthy rich. (had to change that last statement to a more politically correct one). GreaseBaron, I a...

Snedly, The law of conservation of energy states that friction heat from running a pump or heat directly from resistive elements is the same. Add to the fact that the pump motor is only 50% efficient you're better off to heat with electric. Well, I guess what I was getting at was only having one th...

Some questions and concerns about running WVO

Hello all, I am in the planning stages right now and have a source now for veggie oil. :?: The thing that I keep coming back to is how bad will it be when I forget to purge after running WVO on a winter day? And believe me....I WILL forget. Will I have a total mess trying to warm the IP and a...

I have just recently begun rounding/scrounging up the parts and pieces for a small BD set up and have some concerns about using a used water heater. It's been my observation that most people replace them when they begin to leak or are very near it. I am looking into making a reactor vessel out of a ...

I was told that "they" (whom ever "they" are) are going to begin taking the Sulphur out of Dyno juice and the cost per gallon will of course go up. Seems like everything is going up except my paycheck, heck, at this rate most middle class will be on wellfare in the not so distant...
