No disrespect but I have to say bullsh*t. I have owned about every vdub diesel made and have never , ever, seen in excess of 60 mpg on a tank. My 86 n/a gets 45 and my 04 pd gets 44 which is way above the epa estimates. Even 70 mpg equates to almost 1000 miles on a tank. If you topped it off and did...

They are only rated at 38 m.p.g. , the price we pay for power. I would check the MAF, tire air pressure, air filter, and your driving style. My 04 golf (pd) will get 36 m.p.g. driving quick ( 80+ and stoplights) or 52 m.p.g. driving 55 and coasting lights. I will really upset some folks now .... wit...
