Iirc diesels have a hydraulic front engine mount. Diesel starters are beefy, and I have no clue about the speedo.

The motor mounts should be the same iirc. Pulling the fuel pump outa the tank may be a PITA. You could also pull the interior/dash/maybe engine and redo everything with dynamat/b quite/etc... during a rustoration. It'll be lighter than that asphalt stuff, and probably much quieter.
