I have an adapter for setting the timing on a diesel pump without the dial indicator, I do have a dial indicator I could include depending on price your wanting to pay. I also have a...

OK, I bough a new battery today, it was 5 years old the other one and I got tired of charging it continually. I get the alternator to start charging by hooking up a fan to that blue wire and putting a load on the alternator, I have been working on replacing the wire but have not gone all the way yet...

OK I cut the blue wire and the light goes out, so what could possibly be wrong with the wire?
This blue wire is supply power to turn the light out?
If this is the case then this does not start the charging.

Anyone else experience this problem? I've had the same problem. I wasted plenty of time doing different things, but it ended up being a bad "blue" wire. Fixed it, and it was fine. What year truck do you have? My truck is an 80, you guys are talking about possible problem with the blue wir...

Alternator charge start.

On my truck I have always had to rev the engine up for the alternator to start charging.
Anyway I have been OK with this, but now I have to rev the hell out of it before the charge light goes off.
What controls when the alternator starts charging?
Anyone else experience this problem?

Yes and no I could live with it but I don't want to I have a VW diesel and I do OK on mileage driving to and from work and my other cars are not too bad Except for my Bronco that averages like all SUV's.
Bad is for the fisherman that drive a boat that's averaging 2 MPG.
So we got it OK
