98 TDI Valve cover part?

What is the round disc that is on the top right hand side of the valve cover called? It has oil lines going to the turbo unit I believe.

This is a reply to an earler post. Still trying to get some help with this. I have been have sporadic turbo boost issues. After a trip of 150 miles plus the turbo will once again work fine for about 5 days. Than will once again die until the next long haul. Any ideas as to what may be causing this i...

How do I get the Turbo out of the car?

By the way, my turbo in the 98 jetta that I have does not look the same as in the earlier posted thread. Will that make a difference? Please some suggestions on taking the turbocarger out of the vehicle.

Turbo works after long haul trips?

Oil filter area leak

I continue to have a leak from the area where the oil filter is. I have changed the filter and seal and have not succeeded in stopping the leak. Is there a gasket above the filter mounting base that can be replaced? And if so does anybody knw what the proceedeure is for getting to the gasket? :?

It is likely the belt. Try some silicone on the serpantine belt and see if the squeel disappears. If so, the belt is probaly bad.

Fuel Injection Pump

:( My fuel injection pump is leaking from a bolt at the very top of the pump. Triangular in shape and rounded on the points of the triangle. Pump also seems to leak from a seam between the lower and upper portions of the pump. Can these be repaired on the vehicle? Or am I subjected to buying a reman?
