want to part with my son's Jetta. it's a 2 door in good condition, new front tires, good rear, rebuilt pump last year, new right half shaft. Car is in central New Mexico (Los Lunas) and I would drive it anywhere. Has 269k miles showing but had a overhaul by PO which i have? reciept for somewhere. $2...

have you found the problem?
mine was squealing on startup and at idle when the AC was on.
i changed the crankshaft pulley which had a rubber vibration dampner in it that was bad.
cured the squeal.
