If the blower fan didn't work so well I might have, but it only takes 4 screws to get to it and another four to get it out (I think). As far as the heater core goes, I did not consider replacing it, because I really didn't feel like taking apart all the duct work to get to it. I did how ever install...

yay! AC is done! Here are some pics, charged with 29 ounces of r-134, and initially installed 6 ounces of ester oil, that had the freeze 32 additive. It may have been too much oil, or my initial charge was too much. I had to evacuate and do over. so here are the pics. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hph...

im pretty sure that the spring does go there, he just did not have it on in that picture, if you look at some of the other pictures, it shows the spring. also, in this diagram (ignore the fact its a turbo pump) you can see everything broken down. it also shows that spring. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.ne...

no, I don't think so, the pass side rear has about 2 degrees of negative, and the driver side only has one. That was checked by leveling the ground with sheets of plywood using my 6 foot empire level (who says being a carpenter doesn't have its perks) so that the car was completely level, and then u...

that confused me a little bit. the only way i can fully extend the shock is to to get all of the weight of the car off the rear end, like by going over a speed bump really fast, and almost being airborne. the springs at rest (without the cars weight on them) are shorter then the original ones, and e...

I don't think that is his pump, but I could be wrong. here is a link that might help with the function, (and while you have got it apart you could do the mod)

problem solved, a local import shop had some high quality brass fittings. They are the same size as the ones available everywhere else, but the high side one doesn't have the threads recessed so far that the port bottoms against the old r-12 fittings hex nut part if that makes sense. they are higher...

hmmm. Old expansion valve had a screen, new one does not. The old screen was clean, except for some oil residue, which I cleaned out. The new one was not the one that came up under my vehicle, however the part number cross referenced. Should I just reuse old expansion valve, with the clean screen, o...

So I ordered the variable rate springs for an isuzu impulse, year 88 will bring up the right part number. The id was just a tad small, but it worked out. with no load they are about 2 inches shorter then the dashers springs, but once I installed them, with the kyb shocks I got, they sit about 2 inch...

a/c oil capacity and freon
Once again, no bently :( never lending it out again. 1980 2 door dasher factory a/c. Does any one know the oil capacity and freon capacity of one of these systems? I know when charging with 134 to do so to 75% of capacity, and add more according to pressures, and temp at vents, usually ends up at ab...

Yeah, I'm not sure what mark you are talking about. If ip is locked, and cam is locked with feeler gauges shimming boths sides of lock plate where it fits in cam slot so there is no play, and yoyr tdc mark on flywheel lines up dead on with arroew, and when you remove everything u can turn the engine...

if nothing has been changed inside the pump, and it was not doing that before (granted you are relying on the word of the previous owner) then it is probably just stuck and gummed up. When you remove the pump cover, make sure you mark the location of the accelerator arm assembly thingy and pay atten...

Its good to know there's another one out there. Is the ebrake cable loosened? Did you read the thread with my questions? Dust cap, axle nut and outer bearing removed? If you push the adjuster up with one screw driver, and then in one of the holes on the other side push the lever that actuates the eb...
