I bought the 30 year-on-the-shelf Injection Pumps….went to southern Michigan Bosch ‘Factory’ service shop….They proudly informed me….$250 EACH to set them on their on their test fixture to ‘prove them’, they would remove the top casting, 4-bolts, the throttle lever and fuel-out, and the throttle bra...

I have a Bosch VE pump that I want rebuilt and ‘on the shelf’
Are they reputable?

BTW….what are you paying for a rebuild?

I understand a rebuild is possible ‘in my shop’, not sure I want to attempt that project at this time.

Assured it was removed from a running engine…30 Years Ago!

unfortunately my 1983 vw cabriolet drum brakes are TOAST! i'm having difficulty removing the springs from the upper mechanism that separates the shoes! the large lower spring was relatively easy to remove. HOWEVER i'm at a loss as to what tools are needed, or even the proper procedure to disassemble...

the aftermarket bracketry is a RUBE GOLDBERG arrangement! I'VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO MAINTAIN CORRECT TENSION. i've assembled and dis-assembled the compressor from the 'bracketry numerous times' trying to find the key to alignment and tension issues. positioning of SANKYO SD-507 compressor is by 2 ears...

been unable to locate a factory a/c setup for my 81 caddy. gonna look at modifying the present compressor and alternator. some of the kubota diesel engines and possibly some of the foreign cars have very small alternators.
