i find it neat that no one has even given any decent info on the question :) i understand the great debate here. but using NA injectors, 7-9psi, intercooled, metal head gasket ... and not trying to race the damn car, keeping a good eye on oil temps ... i'm not concerned. besides, it's jsut a researc...

which turbo and why?
I had an interesting talk with a fella that converts vanagons to diesels. He said when using TD's he prefers to use a k14 or t2 rather then the k24. i know the k14 is smaller, which means it'd spool quicker, but i'm trying to figure out what the major advantages of either would be. any input or link...

available aftermarket turbos for the NA

I've found some info on the BAE kit online, instructions and whatnot, but nothing for any other makers. Does anyone have a old d...

See, that's the thing. I think i have a handle on what i need to do. But whenever i search, i come up with very little that's actually useful. I find all sorts of smart ass replies, or just things that in general un-helpful. I can't seem to find a documented process anywhere. which is why i asked. i...

the old gas to diesel question ... let's revisit this.
i know .. search the forums right? Well, i'd like to re-address this topic. Hopefully pull some actual info from the topic rather then "save your money" or "anything's possible with a welder" We all know that something such as converting a honda to a VW diesel is possible, it'll ...

Anyone have any idea what the rabbit diesel automatic trannys gear ratios were. i'm talking 82/83, the one attached to the 1.6NA.
