Just heard the news today. I will never forget our diesel chats that we had in Powell River. You will be missed old friend.

Very nice fitting on your pump Hjalbert. Make sure the lines can handle the pressure of higher rpms from the pump. You would hate for it to blow off.

If you are getting fuel to come out of the pump that is a good start.

We need more information though. Was the engine running with that same pump before it was rebuilt? Is it a different pump? Did it have trouble starting before you put it away?

I get at it from the top as well. Don't get frustrated. Sometimes it still takes me 10 minutes to get it back in. Also, before you put everything back together, go for a test drive. One time I put the entire dash back together only to find out that the cable was not fully attached. Mind you the litt...

Nice! That's funny how mk3 odometers reset like that at 300,000 considering mk2 ones don't.

I'm at 496,300 right now! Getting close for me too :D

There are a lot of misconceptions and I don't even know the whole deal. But overall I know I have never had to pay for a doctor or hospital visit. That's just dandy to me!

So I finally finished a tank of diesel yesterday. I got an increase of about 9% running on eco mode and with the fuel leaned out. About 44mpg on average to 48.2mpg.

I fixed the gauge issue so I can see my boost on both modes. I usually go to Kelowna everyday so a good 40km per day I would say.

I might have a coolant leak that I discovered this morning though. :(

Yes Hagar I did install the glowplug fuse. :) I rigged up a vacuum switch and I have my eco mode working now. I can't get the boost gauge to register with it the solenoid activated though I think I need to switch my lines around a bit. Just filled up my car last night and I'll be able to report my s...
