Where I got my kit, the front seal (if that's what you're referring to) was not included in my kit, because there were two different ones... If you specified which one you needed, it was < $5 more. The seal was a pain to remove, but it is just a press-in... so a socket and a gentle mallet should do ...

No you're not... I'm on week 3 of resealing my IP. But when it's an hour here and an hour there... I end up spending more time cleaning up then I do working on the car.

Re: Rusty.

Someone tell JACK --to start selling weld-in panels from "Klokkerholm" ---I shall tell the tale of how I found out about Klokkerholm---in my normal post. hagar. The only problem with Klokkerholm is they state they will not sell to individuals or retailers... I don't know if they would sel...

what is PB blaster, and where do you get it? I used to use Ford Heat Rust Solvent, and it was a great penetrating fluid. one more thing. when removing pulleys, if you find they turn, put vice grips on one of the other nuts to hold pulley from turning. not sure how you'd get the last nut tho....

Thanks for everyone's suggestions... PB + heat + a 12mm 12 point socket jammed over it got the bugger off. :D

Now onto getting the stuck valve cover off...

Unfortunately, I didn't have a torch handy... tomorrow when I go at the bolt again, I'll have one. I did consider using some "freeze" spray on the bolt, but didn't know if it would help just to freeze it. A little late, but here’s how I get these bolts out (also might help loosen up your...

I know 99% of you guys drive LHD cars but for the 1% with RHD cars ref. to passenger side of engine can be misinterpreted. I suggest just to say RHS. The problem with saying RHS or LHS is that it too can me misinterpreted. Is it from the viewpoint of looking into the engine bay or from sitting in t...

I started to realize that there isn't enough clearance to get a hex bolt in there. The bolts already had a day of PB Blaster on them. By the time my extractor comes in the stripped one will have a couple more days... (I spray them once or twice a day) I considered the Torx fix, but didn't have one o...

Thanks. I just came into possession of this bunny... While he only has 130K on it, not much engine work was done on it in the last 25 years... infact, I took off the bolts and retaining strips to the valve cover, but the cover is stuck fast. It's going to be fun breaking it free without bending it.
