Oh thats my tagline. It is true the rabbit saved VW from going under. I read that in a article somewhere. I seen a survey done and it was I would rather be in my, and #1 was SUV?? How lame!! SUV = zero fun. A real 4x4 is fun and SUV's are not real hard working off roaders. They are impractical, fuel...

The Vw is dead. Blew the headgasket on the way home from work. Will never fix this car again. Bought a 09 toyota corolla s. It gets 50mpg and I can get one today without waiting for feb 09 for the unproven 2.0 emission swamped VW. The new 2.0 VW really moves but for 33k before tax and the wait they ...

I painted my golf the 2 coat roller then wet sand method. 11 coats. It is alright to do if you like lots of hard labour. If I did it again I would at least spray it so the orange peel is not so bad. Finished product looks like some new cars out today with the orange peel. I did not get the same resu...

Ok just asking but when you say your timing your enigne I get that you are pulling off the timing belt cover, locking the injection pump and checking your mark on the crank. I never read that you pulled the valve cover off and loosened the cam sproket and locked the cam with a piece of flat bar, set...

I know of two fleets that run HHO units on their semis and they swear by the mileage increase. I think they run a PWM pulse width modulator that makes them worth the while. I guess the PWM controls the current to the HHO generator and applies only pulses of electricity so it does not always run at a...

So I got around to checking it out and I put a wrench on the crank and at the same spot of every revolution it made a clink pop sound. I thought here we go time to check out the bottom end. The wife was outside and while I turned she was listening. She said well sounds somewhere around the injection...

But you can not run marked diesel as they check here in Canada and give you a huge fine. I figured I could save 4 bucks a week if I ran marked diesel. Not really worth it one bust would cost more than a whole year of savings.

What do they sound like

My car is making this sound it always has and now its very loud and also has some sort of rattling that increases and decreases with rpm and goes away at 2200 rpm and above. It kinda sounds like the injectors spraying and also with some klanking. Its also hard to start cold fires to 1000rpm and then...

Thats why you do the 12v ISB. Check the con rod compared to the power stroke(nav.) and the duramax(izuzu 6.6)

V config diesels are all junk, theres a reason why they don't put them in semis. The useable torque is at a too high rpm unlike any inline diesel where its at much lower. Do up a cummins 5.9 a old 12v one they can handle serious mods and tons of boost. I myself would not bother with V boat anchors b...

As far as I know ANY 4 banger gas diesel VW 8v engine will bolt to the 020 tranny lineup with no modification. As far as fitting into you car what are you putting this into a rabbit? I don't think its too hard to install you see them all the time. There is I think a couple guys on here that have 1.9...

I am a guy that dropped $2500 on a N/A. If I could do it again I would put a 1.9tdi, more reliable, better fuel mileage, less smoke, more power, smoother engine and about the same cost. The ONLY reason to really dump large amounts of cash on these dated engines is to be different and the simplicity ...
