I know it can be done, but right now the resources are limited.... I would love a TDI on my 85 Jetta ...

In my case I’m doing a rebuilt, my engine which was running it smoked a l...

The dimension of 0.032mm stamped on the top of his pistons means that the cylinder bore should be 0.032mm larger, in diameter than the measured diameter of the pistons. That is, 77.488mm + 0.032mm = 77.52mm bore. duffer you are totally correct Im doing a rebuild with the same size pistons that adam...

I read somewhere in the forum that the bore/ piston size on the engines 1.5/1.6 is the same just the stroke is different giving it the 1.6 denomination... but don't quote on that

I heard some where that the engines from 81 to 92 were all interchangeable, but I guess as a whole unit, but makes sence that two holes on the head have to have two holes on the block.

"THEY/ONE"

Got it! I was just confused because I hear all over the place that a non-turbo block should not be used with a turbo(because of the oil jets), but what you said makes cense. Same goes for the head, "THEY" always say that when "ONE" buys a new head for a turbo engine "ONE&quo...
