andrew can you elaborate on that??? no turbo pump you mean IP right?what do you mean by not increasing fueling? and what do you mean by
have an easier time than if it were not turbo-charged.
the engine he is installing is not a Turbo-charged

I'm working on my 85 Jetta TD,the head of the bolt looks like the tip of a torx bit, but with more splines to it(12-point???)

Pressure plate bolts...

Guys, I'm having trouble taking off the pressure plate bolts, the 10mm wrench is lose and the 9mm don't fit, this is a regular 10mm 11 point bolt right??? :?:

Sorry for "Highjacking" the tread :oops: , but how do you check for leaks from the cracks between the valves? is there a "homemade" :idea: test to see if the head is not ruin because of the cracks between the valves???(other than messuring the tickness of the cracks) :?:

had an ongoing leak and finally got it resolved by adding an additional breather. I drilled a hole in the oil cap and used a plastic NPT threaded fitting connected to a hose. The factory fix was to replace the breather hose with one that tees off to a line back to the engine block. The single-fitting plate that takes the output from the vacuum pump (pressure side of the pump) is replaced with one with two hose fittings

lobes up, no contact!

But if you have read my postings before I stated that I set the Crankshaft TDC but the valves on piston 1 were shut. So I rotated it until they were open If your #1 valves are open, you are not at the camshaft's TDC, the lobes need to be pointing up, which means no contact between the camshaft/lobe...

I know what you are missing when you spell Hillbilly tuning, it shoulbe "Hillbilly TUNING".... :wink: just a joke relax as Haga says. Just play with it and the problem will go away. 180 degrees off, is my guess.
