Got it 82vdud, Thanks for the quick reply and clarifying the bottle feed test.

Re: Is my 91 1.6 ME injection pump pumping enough fuel?
Thanks 82vdub, If the banjo inlet from the old pump fits where the fuel stop goes, I'll try it tonight. If it doesn't I'll rig something that does.
Thanks Tom

Re: Is my 91 1.6 ME injection pump pumping enough fuel?
Thanks for all the answers. It's encouraging that some one looked at the Video. I tried bottle feeding it at the inlet but not through the fuel solenoid spot. I'm assuming that's what you mean by plunger. I would have to rig something up to do that. I do have a great bottle to use. It's a clean 90W ...

Is my 91 1.6 ME injection pump pumping enough fuel?
I don't know if my injection pump is pumping enough fuel out. If you look at this video clip, the top right outlet looks like it's not working. The rest of the outlets look like they're just barely spitting out fuel. Ive been trying to start this car for a couple of weeks. Took out the pick up unit ...

Dip stick won't stay in the tube.
My dip stick on my 1.6 ME 91 Jetta keeps coming out of the tube. I got a new dip stick and replaced the plastic piece on the tube. Also I took off the valve cover and cleaned out the breather with carb clean. But it keeps coming out about 3 inches. Does anyone else have this problem?

Re: I keep braking #2 injector line
The bolt that was in there was a size to small. I could rattle it around (after I took the nut off) probably 8MM, I didn't measure it. So I took my caliper and measured the hole and it looked like it was about 10MM. So I took a 10MM 8.8 bolt with a flat washer on it, and it fit. The other side I use...

Re: I keep braking #2 injector line
I checked the fuel stop solenoid last night and it seems to be fine (heard the click when I had some one turn the key on [Wife]). Then decided to look into the pump through the fuel return bolt, and it didn't have any fuel in it. So I primed it, and it started ( I primed it about three times to get ...

Re: I keep braking #2 injector line
That's reassuring 82vdub, thanks. I measured the hole with a caliper the best I could and it seems to be 10mm which is a little bigger than what was in there. I just got to get the holes to line up. A small little lift with a small bar should line them up.

Re: I keep braking #2 injector line
I didn't replace the bolt yet, but there seems to be a spacer between the pump and the bracket, that rattles around when you stick a small screw driver in the hole. Do you think that I can use the right size bolt lock washer and nut? I'm going to check the fuel stop to see if that's operating correc...

Re: I keep braking #2 injector line
I checked the fuel solenoid wire this morning, it's connected and there is juice there. I'll Check the glow plug buss tonight, but it did start and run last night, I moved it to a another parking spot a total of about thirty feet. this morning it took a longer time than usual to start, ran very ruff...

Re: I keep braking #2 injector line
I think I may have maybe found out whats wrong. I checked my timing and it seems to be ok (.96mm). The bracket to the block was tight, but I found that the bolt below the injector lines is about a size smaller than the hole. I'm going to buy another bolt tonight. But now I have another problem. The ...

Re: I keep braking #2 injector line
I'm going to all the bolts this weekend and the timing. Especially the front bolt under the injector lines. The only bolts that I know about are thwe three bolts that go to the timing cover and the one under the injection lines. Quantum-man are those the blots your talking about? "And perhaps t...

I keep braking #2 injector line
I've broke maybe 4 or 5 number two injector lines in two years on my 1991 diesel Jetta GL. My motor mounts are good and the brackets are on the fuel lines. The bolts are tight on the injector pump. Does anyone know if the injector pump timing would do this?

Thanks Fatmobile
No, I don't have cruise control. I didn't realize that the down ward bend is for that. But that would make sense. Thanks for offering gtiguy, but I don't know if that'll work on a 91 Jetta. There is a hole with a spline drive that the lever fits onto, on top of the pump. Thanks Fatmoble for hooking ...
