It all depends on the type of TDI you have. If you have the non-Pumpe Deuse motor then your options are pretty wide open with the ability to change injectors easily that give you more options. If your TDI is a Pumpe Deuse then it is a real pain to change the injectors since they are under the valve ...

From my understanding of how the injection pump works, the control collar is what actually controls the amount of fuel injected which if the collar was frozen in a position to inject max fuel that would cause the engine to go to WOT. You won't really know unless you open the IP up.

It looks to me like you bought strut inserts. Once you remove the struts from the caddy you will disassemble them and replace the insert into the strut body.
