Timing belt
I have a 1982 Vanagon Deisel and my manual really focuses on the gas powered 1982, I have a new timing belt and wondered the proper technique for timing this van..can someone help??

I am confused, because the 1982 radiator has 2 thermostats and the 83 and up has only one, how do you convert this?

I am in desperate need of a radiator for my 1982 deisel vanagon. Have purchased 2 and they are wrong. to rebuild the core on my existing one is over 600.00. Does anyone have one or know where I can get one?

It is a heating system under the van which has 2 fuel pumps attached to operate it. Does not say much in my manuel except, it is an auxillary heater???

I have my van ready to put on the road,vacumm pump rebuilt thanks to all the help I have received from this forum. Now, the auxillary heater is disconnected. The 2 fuel pumps don't work. yes timing belt is new,wow, you are most helpful, no wonder the brakes were like pushing on a semi...haha thanks so much
