Thanks for the hint. I actually took it in to have it done. I have been working over 70 hours a week. So I just didn't have the time to get to it.

Its not a powerhouse by the seat of your pants conversion. But Im thinking it is just as powerful as the WBX was. My wife has been driving it mostly The gearing is not going to be Ideal Im going to 16" tires and wheels that may help out a bit. But all in all its good.

I got mine directly out of canada from a low mileage wreck. and swapped on the vanagon bits myself.

Mine really seems to breath it. out that tube back into the intake. I think maybe the engine has sat for a while and needs to work itself back into proper lubrication and knock the cob webs off. got it started today and there was oil in the rubber elbow coming out of the turbo that goes to the intake? Is that normal? Or should I be checking something?

Sounds doable. Yeah I guess it doesnt make a difference which one I run it in as far as installing goes. Looks as If I need to make a trip to the local fastener store for some plumbing parts.

I bought a guage and sending unit. But Im having trouble finding the part Needed to connect the sending unit to the block. Its a 1.9 aaz. anyone have any info on what is needed. Im wanting to pull the sensor above the filter and use that hole.

I was curious about which ones the clutched ones came on. I was thinking I might go that route as well since I need a new alternator anyway.

Wondering if the TDi alternator is a direct swap it looks very similar in the pictures. Anyone know for sure?
