Just hit 20k miles since the veggie conversion.
I've been buying my oil. Way better than collecting and filtering it! Such a PITA...and still less than half the price of D2.

Re: 300,000 kms on VO
congratulations. My '03 Jetta TDI has about 12,000 miles since I started burning grease in it and so far so good.
Most vehicles do fine on vegetable oil if the oil is clean and hot. But someone will always be around to tell you that it can't be done. I wish you many more greasy kilos!

EGT Readings Diesel vs. WVO
Just for fun I thought I'd share that I've been running grease in my Jetta TDI for about 8k miles so far. I also decided on an exhaust gas temperature gauge instead of a veg oil temp. gauge. I could have done both or like most folks, just do the veg temp. gauge. My biggest reason for the EGT is that...

Dan, I noticed you said your WVO onboard filters are lasting over 7k miles. I'm curious, do you run a looped return on your system? If so, does the return fuel go through the filter again, or does it go straight from the injector return lines back to the IP. I ask this because my filters only last a...

you might have better luck finding folks on www.greasecar.com or www.frybrid.com. they both have open forums for the WVO community.
Good luck!

Yeah a lot of people are blending. It really depends on the climate you're in how much wvo you can add to your diesel. I wouldn't blend with my system, but I used to a little bit on my older benz and rabbit. my car now is too expensive and that's why i go with the two tank system that only runs 100 ...

I would not use that stuff.. it's been concluded as junk. Best thing to do is modify the vehicle with a two tank system or do biodiesel. I'm very happy with my newly converted 2003 Jetta TDI. Greasecar system professionally installed by me (www.greasecar.com). It runs wonderfully and if you do it ri...

I'm having a similar problem
I have recently replaced the oil pan and gasket on my '84 Rabbit 1.6. I'm pretty sure it's the same setup. I did this because I was having oil leaks. Now, it's leaking even more than before I replaced it. It's pretty obvious that's where the oil leak is mostly coming from. I need to slow this leak d...

I actually had the tank in the back seat of the car. I wanted to be able to keep an eye on it. It worked pretty good transferring heat and it did not melt from the hot coolant. My only problem was the grease feed line coming out of the front of the tank was not sealed good enough and constantly drip...

I have about 8500 WVO miles and recently had looked at my injectors. The bottoms had thin layer of soot on them that i could easily rub off with my finger. I actually think that was nothing more than the fact that I broke down the other day on VO and didn't have a chance to purge my system. I run ca...
