So I replaced the flasher relay at the fuse box and the dash light is now dark as it should be. However, the turn signal now flashes twice as fast. It clicks about 4 times per second. Is that normal and before I was only clicking at half speed or? The hazards flash at the old rate of two clicks per ...

Confused about turn signal wiring...
Gone through Bentley and online sources, and am still having a bit of trouble. Part of the problem may be that I have a GTI front bumper, on a Westy core support, on a standard '82 diesel Rabbit. According to the wiring diagram, depending on the side, there should be a brown wire, a black (plus stri...

Just to be sure I understand your comments, the mechanical style Recaros out of the Jetta are bulkier than the electric out of the 760, so if I can mate the 760 electric style Recaros to my MK1 Rabbit, they would give my the lowered seating position I'm looking for (with possibly a little less comfo...

How about something like these: http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/pts/1902291059.html They look pretty comfy. They're Recaros. Would they be too bulky, though? Having trouble finding the Scirocco or Corrado seats in good nick and/or for a low enough price, so I'm considering alternatives. Also foun...

Thanks for the link and advice. I was thinking I would just delete the slider function all together and lock it into the ideal position which is likely all the way back for me. No one else drives the rabbit but me, so I don't mind losing the adjustment capability. I read a post somewhere about someo...

WTB Corrado front seats
I'm in SoCal. Email me at trip.gould@gmail.com with what you got and what you want for it. Pics would be great, too. Prefer local, and I'd be willing to drive anywhere in Los Angeles, Orange County, or Inland Empire to pickup. Thanks.

Most comfortable replacement seats for MK1 Rabbit?
I've done some searching and have read good things about which seats are good for adding racing-style characteristics to your seated experience. But I'm wondering what the best swap would be when ultimate comfort is being considered? My '82 1.6NA Rabbit Diesel is a daily driver in which I spend at l...
