i'd say the line has a bad fitting on the end and it isnt tightening down properly, or the fitting that goes directly into the turbo, thats the high pressure oil feed line for the turbo. i would get the line and fittings from a parts car and then take the old ones off to inspect. that way if it is b...

the last one i did was in mk3, and was away from home with only a motorcycle jack for lifting, axle nuts removed, the 2 holding the a-arms, pull axles from hubs, disconnect all the regular stuff, front clip/bumper and rad out, then just walked the engine+tranny out the front. i'd rather use a hoist ...

Your best bet is to make sure you have fuel getting to your injectors on all cylinders, if it checks out, then you might have a bad head gasket or broken rings, these things will usually fire even with horrible injectors in them as long as you are getting fuel. Next bet would to try a compression te...

Just something to think about: my old man was having the same issue for about 2 years with his 1.9TD It would get really hot going on long grades, and it boiled over a couple of times on him when not watching the guage, he had the head gasket done, water pump and thermostat. still the problem persis...

a new clutch usually runs around 200 bucks (canada) and comes with clutch and pressure plate, bolts, everything you need. replace the whole thing regardless even if the pressure plate alone is worn. as a rule, unless the clutch is in very good condition, replace it when you have your engine out, unl...

Hey there, I found on my old A2 diesels that i would get the non-responsive pedal as well, maybe it was related to the spring, but it seems like a strange problem. Just to be certain, work the lever with the springs coiled around them that the cable is attached to and make sure its not binding, try ...
