Moving Sale: 85 1.6 Golf
Very sad day for me but I'm finally getting around to posting my Gold 85 1.6 (na) manual Golf 4 door up for sale. Has less than 200k original miles on it, A/C works great, about 45 miles to the gallon give or take. Interior is unbelievably clean, seats are all in great condition except for a small t...

Re: Floorboard (Update)
Yes, I could tell the difference immediately. My only problem is that I fixed up my rear engine mount with window weld. It worked wonders for my trans mount but the rear engine mount makes my entire car rattle.

Yeah, this took about a weeks worth in hours spread out into a little over a month. Did Rhino Liner on top and bottom, classy and rock solid.

Re: HELP! Re: Floorboard
So here is the semi-final update. Still have some more work to do but most of the work, the most important part, is done. Thanks to everyone that chimed in with some tips. Like you'll see in the pics I decided to buy the floor-pans and get it welded in. Here are some pics from start to where we are ...

I'd know exactly what you want and how you want to pay for it before calling Jack. Not a people person lol. Lets just say he doesn't take jack from anybody....budum tish.TylerDurden wrote:I'd call the owner of this site or Jack in Auburn Hills.

I believe you measure straight across, from side rail to side rail. But I could be very wrong, can anyone else chime in?avocado wrote:24" (depending on where you measure from)

Re: HELP! Re: Floorboard
Thank you for the suggestions guys. Update: I took the trip out to the junk yard to check out this 89 GTI, honestly I had very low expectations for this but if I'm doing the rest of it right I didn't want to skimp anywhere else. Thankfully and to my surprise the floor was brand spanking new (looking...

Re: HELP! Re: Floorboard
Quick upadate and a plea for help lol The install of the new floorpans is going great so far both front and rear have been installed with just a little welding left to be done. I will try to post pics once done. But I've run into a snag. I'm not sure what the part is called but I believe it may be c...

I'm interested in a radiator.
I have an 85 golf 1.6l n/a with ac. I believe this requires a 26.75" core. Please let me know if you have one. Thanks.

Re: Floorboard (Update)
So to make a long story short..... I brought an apple to work yesterday but while driving to work it fell under my passenger seat, once I got to work I forgot about it. Remembered the next morning and found the apple chewed up in a couple spots. I haven't seen ants in my car so I got a little curiou...

May not be aesthetically pleasing but you can try 3M Window Weld. Will cost you around $10 bucks and will last forever. Just spread around the cracks and dress it up as best you can. But if it beyond fixing best of luck to you.

If that is the case you can always spray some silicon on them, the Honda silicon spray is around $5 and it works wonders. But if not the only place I've seen them sold new is ebay, shipped from Mexico

Usually the tire center has a separate entrance so you can always just stop in. Obviously to make the purchase you'd have to have the membership or know someone who does.

I recent found that Costco (that is if you have Costcos in Green Bay) tire center sells lug bolts for a great price. Hope it helps.
