Manitoba Public Insurance is now in possession of the car. Its a salvageable write-off. The front fender & passenger door are crumpled and the passenger mirror was knocked off.

Co-op DMO comes in all kinds of blends: 10w30, 15w40, 30w, 0w40, etc. The 0w40 stuff is synthetic and is relatively cheap for a synthetic. Last time I bought some it was $25 for 5L. Its sometimes hard to find: you might have to go to a big Co-op hardware store or a Co-op gas bar that caters to a lot...

I had leaky seals (cam, intermediate, crank) on my 1.6 hydraulic and it was really hard to tell if they were coming from the valve cover gasket or the seals.
