Thanks all. Quick update. Air filter was fine. Installing rebuilt fuel injectors helped noticeably, but still plenty of smoke. I ordered timing and compression test tools. Recently purchased a 1982 Westy pop top with a 1.6L diesel engine. I tightened down some bolts, but it still has minor oil leakage.
