Is that a plastic outlet with an o-ring seal? If so that could be the problem. Another way to tell if the head gasket is out; is to look at the small line coming from the radiator. With the cap off see if there are any air bubbles entering the resevoir. No coolant coming through that line is also a possible and common problem. One that you should hope for. You might not need ...

From what I understand the early AHUs had the K03, and the late ones and the ALH had the VNT15
