Re: 1.6 factory turbo from an '85 Jetta

I'm willing to give this stuff for free to anyone who can/will pick it up. I'f I have to do "work" then there's the subject of beer money to be discussed.

Re: Holy cow.......you guys are still here!

I posted a bunch of stuff in the for sale section. PM sent to Niko

I live 25 miles south of Pittsburgh. I'm not looking for much here, just want the stuff gone. Was going to scrap most of it but thought someone might get some use out of this stuff.

1.6 NA from '84 Rabbit with TopLine head

This engine was from my daily driver for 9 years. At about 200k miles I thought it would be a good idea to rebuilde her. I pulled the pistons, replaced the bearings and rings etc. I also installed a TopLine aftermarket head. The engine lasted until 260k when it started deteriorating quickly. It lost...

1.6 factory turbo from an '84 Quantum

This engine was in a car I bought from a co-worker. His Son ran it without coolant and warped the head. I bought the car and replaced the head with a TopLine aftermarket head. I pulled the pistons and replaced the rings. I think the car had about 120k on it at the time...as best I can remember. I th...

1.6 factory turbo from an '85 Jetta

This engine was also stored inside for about 12 years. I have a 1.6 factory turbo engine also from an '85 Jetta. I actually drove this car. It also had a little over 100k miles on it. The car turned into a heap so I pulled the engine intending to put the engine in a Cabriolet I had but never mustere...

Cleaning out the basement. 1.6 NA w/5 speed

These parts were all stored in my basement. I dragged them outside for better lighting to take pictures. They have been stored for anywhere from 10 to 15 years. I have a N/A 1.6 out of an '85 Jetta with a 5 speed hanging off of it. The car had a little over 100k on it. I never drove the car, I picke...

Re: Holy cow.......you guys are still here!

Hey I remember you too!

I have a bunch of engines and engine parts if you're interested. I didn't get around to posting in the for sale section yet. I have a couple of 1.6 turbo engines I was thinking someone might want. They are kind of rare, or so I think.

Holy cow.......you guys are still here!

I haven't visited here in the better part of 10 years and I see a couple of people I remember. Fatmobile and Coke right off the bat. Good to see you guys are still alive and smokin'. I was cleaning out my basement and wanted to know if there was still anyone into the old IDI engines as I have a ton ...

YOU VOTED REPUBLICAN!?! Holy crap, the world is spinning backwards on it's axis. Actually it's not that big a stretch, you no doubt voted for Ron Paul if it was a Republican. I can see your anti-war agreement but can't see much else for you to like. I'm thinking Obama is most in line with how I perc...

Error code P1556

Low power and a code P1556. Says that the turbo pressure controller valve has deviated positive......or something like that, as best I can remember.

Anyone know what this means and what to do about it?

Thanks
