Any Quantum 5 Speed Owners?

Asked on the Vortex with no response; should have asked here first: Can anyone measure the distance from the front edge of your transmission bellhousing to the center of the axle output flange? Not needing "precise," just a value in inches or millimeters. Trying to figure out if a North-So...

If you have any hills around, I'd be upgrading the search for a TD. Been there; the NA A2 Jetta has a hard time driving itself out of a paper bag!
The extra 20 HP makes a big difference.
Good luck in your search!

Pesky Air Bubbles...Ahaa! Failed Vacuum Guage?!

Who would have thought a new guage would start sucking air? Does WVO contaminate the innards if it contacts inside the guage? Bypassed for now and no more bubbles; no, it wasn't the line and/or the connections. Any brand guage better than others? This was a cheapo JC Whitney job, if I recall. Also g...

Bio Testing

Hi Justin, Do you have access to any emission testing equipment? My daughter is doing a school project in her accelerated Math/ Science HS program on emissions of various fuels: Diesel WVO B20 My car would be the mule. Car is ready to test; could do diesel and WVO in one visit; come back and do B20 ...

Installed, Operational, No Issues- Thanks Fatmobile!

Chased and replaced diesel fuel lines to eliminated air bubbles; now have a solid looped return system. Vacuum on looped mode: next to nothing :D Pulled the trigger a couple days ago; runs great! Have about 300 miles on the system- no issues other than a bit of valve noise when running on WVO; doesn...

How Much Air in Looped Return is OK?

Probably Fatmobile again; I have run the last two weeks on diesel only with my kit installed (non-functioning)(Greasel), but no WVO oil yet- mainly to check that my fuel heating system doesn't leak, and to get as much air out of my IP system. This kit has a valve to run a standard diesel "fuel ...

Couple of Fatmobile-specific questions- Vacuum, return loop

Or anyone can chime in: 1. Pump vacuum guage: Could one use a pump return banjo fitting on the feed side with the large and small barbs for the vacuum connection? Good seals, or cut and tap for standard barb fittings? Wouldn't the pump pull air from the vacuum hose, or would it eventually "neut...
