throttle is hitting max WOT stop screw i understand how the injectors opening sooner would affect timing, but when you time the pump you dont touch/take into account the injectorss so as long as its inside the window of normal injection timing i should be fine right? reason was its a 1.6 out of a quantum... sat for years.. turbo looks to be in sad shape. for sure would leak at seals have turbo mk2 manifold so itll fit a rabbit. dont have supply line for turbo, was going to block it off, put motor in .. make it run and have turbo rebuilt or look for newer more ef...

can i run a 1.6 TD motor w/out the turbo and just a normal 8v exhaust manifold?

throttle sticks , then letting off from mid to upper rpms the motor hesitates some.. like bobs the throttle then comes down. isnt the throttle cable.. was going to try adding some ATF to diesel see if it does anything.. pump is rebuilt... springs seems to pop it back to idle when under the hood.. on...

i may have some of the parts as i got a 1.6td from a quantim to put into a rabbit so i know i have the turbo exhaust manfold and afew other parts the motor mounts are different.. along with how the accessories attach you just have to take ur mounts, accessories and such off of your TD motor and put ...

i think its a decent idea, i always thought would make a good lawn mower or generator motor. im very interested as to how you get the pump coupled with the motor.. yeah i think you could prob use any auto vw flex plate, maybe even a auto torque converter as a starting point then cut/weld it it up to...
