The gauge you linked to only goes to 600 psi. That aint gonna cut it. Injectors pop much higher than that. Lap the shim not the spring. Below shows hydraulic vs solid lifters. If your 1.6 is hydraulic its basically a no-go.

NOTE: No need to "de-fuel" inorder to "add-fuel". The increase in power from the "add-fuel" would automatically result in you backing out of the throttle which would "de-fuel".
