Re: 1987 VW Quantum Syncro - convert to 1.6 turbo diesel?
I looked into this it will be a labor and money intensive project if you use a 4 cylinder but if you find a 5 cylinder diesel it will bolt right up.

Though some say the earlier pump are better in different aspects of power and economy. Overall though the idle bump is nice. If your good with meticulous work you could put the ...

Re: quality control arm bushing options
Use r32 bushings. Urethane are crap if you car isn't lowered and you springs arent stiff. The outer circle doesn't like to be moved reletive to the center hole that's why they only work good if your control arms are parallel with the road. R32 bushings are good rubber and solid like poly but more fo...

Re: TD injector pressure
Id love if I could get my idle down that low. I have my mine set around 950 due to a nasty vibration i cant seem to figure out. This motor is just swapped into this car so it still has kinks that need to be worked out. I'm also going to be installing a proper lda pump later on it this week.

TD injector pressure
I've read different places here and on other forums that na spec injector pressure might be better on a td than the factory higher pressure of td injectors. Reason I ask is I bought an 86 na golf with rebuilt injectors and rebuilt pump on a locked up motor. My injectors could stand to be spruced up ...

Re: Wtb In and banjo fittings and bolts
Right, it's snazzier than Teeing it into the line. The mK2s have a banjo on the return with a 3/16" barb but the MK1s have a 1/4" barb,.. talking 'bout that banjo with the extra 1/8" barb for the return line. Which do you want? Buying a pump from Andrew? Sounds like you have plenty o...
