WTB: Head coolant outlet

1981 VW Rabbit Pickup 1.6L Diesel

I am looking for the coolant outlet that bolts to the rear of the head on the 1.6L diesel. I need the two sensor version (one for glow plugs/one for gauge).

I can Paypal.

Thanks!

I'm going to...check for warpage in the head, this time more extensively and check the block too. Do you have a straight edge accurate to .0002 of an inch? Snap-On has one for $109.65. Without it, don't waste your time. http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=&item_ID=62852&gr...

Just so you know (if you don't already), I believe the spring on the strut has a lot of compressed energy to it. Make sure you use caution when compressing the spring with a spring compressor. If it lets go, it could cause some pretty bad damage to you or your vehicle. Yep, It's my job. VW i...

Re: wvo, timing belt cover, compression tester

how do you damage your fuel system running wvo? Injection pumps were not designed for such heavy fluids. As far as I know, the only OTR pump that is designed to handle heavy fluids is on the LDT and LDS multifuel engines found in M35A2 and 5 ton trucks. Using biodiesel instead of WVO takes that exc...

Strut confusion...

I have just ordered almost $500 in parts to go towards my 1981 VW Rabbit Pickup. The front struts are confusing me a bit. I just opened one of the boxes and there is no lower spring seat on the shock. Looking at the ones installed in the car, it would appear that the spring seat is welded on to the ...

In that video, it sounded like cyl #2 was weak. (Maybe it was just the video). I would pull the injectors, dissemble, and inspect them. See if #2 does have some debris in it.

Switch to making biodiesel. It's a bit more work, but you won't be damaging your fuel system.

Phrases like it's "ok", or "good" don't tell any information.

When you were checking for warp on the head and block with a straight edge, what did you measure??

Ya got a place to paint? I used a tent. I used a $100 Porter Cable gravity feed gun. Rusty metal primer X2 and sun burst yellow X2. Turn out far better then I ever would have thought. Better then many of those cheap body shop repaints. Before Paint: http://bellsouthpwp2.net/b/k/bkworks/VW-Pickup/ima...
