I think you need to take it out/then apart and take a look for fouling and wear spots, check the bushing in the transmission to see if it is worn out too. Mine did that too, I ended up replacing the starter under warranty and the bushing in the bellhousing to correct the problem. The solenoid was faulty but the bushing was worn though in a spot indicating it was off center possibly.

my brakes are so squishy that it is virtually imposible to lock them, but she still stops quicker than my grandpa's 57 chevy, so not dangerous or anything. would have been nice to change the fluid but I think I'll wait till I need pads and just change the whole mess at once.

This is a good argument for dot 5 silicone brake fluid. Dot 3 and 4 are so corrosive they always cause problems. At least the calipers are pretty cheap.

I've used them on tractors and cars and have found them to not be very efficent, block heaters are much better.

Yeah if I had it to do over I'd use the o-seal but it is on with no leaks. Should have asked earlier.
