crazy a stuck rad cap could blow a HG.
Duel rad caps would be sweet. Mine had that, but I modified a vanagon cap to make an overflow to the reservoir.
Back to just one cap
Made it run a lot cooler, I may have some issues.

Radiator cap tester
Just take a bicycle pump and take the end off the fill hose. Remove the overflow hose from the nipple on the reservoir. Push the bike pump hose onto the reservoir nipple. Hold the end of the overflow hose closed with your finger and pump the system up. The pump gauge will tell you at what pressure t...

How it's hard to see out of cars today because of smaller (aerodynamic) windows, factory dark tint, and airbags everywhere.
Love my older cars with big, square, clear glass with small frame pillars. Road trips are so pleasant.

Nice.
I don't have a turbo IDI, but saved the page for future reference.
Thanks for sharing. Bosch VE info seems to get easily lost on the internet these days.

Re: MK1 200mm Clutch judder in first
Update, another 20K+ miles The hand-sanded flywheel and RockAuto borg warner clutch are still doing their job well. :) Shifting is about a smooth as I could hope for after prudent changes of pennz sychromesh. A clean inj pump with no hang in the rpms also helps for 2nd and 3rd of these primative shi...

Re: Anyone ‘here’ have experience with Han Auto Parts
I wouldn't pay a lot of money unless there was a full disassembly. A lot of crap can build up inside the pump body and settle to the bottom to the advance piston. Nevertheless, most people just have a seal leaking that instigates pump removal for repair and several of those seals can be replaced wit...

Re: Anyone ‘here’ have experience with Han Auto Parts
They've been selling diesel pumps and pump parts (which is really cool) for a long time now. Some regulars on the bigger forums HATE that guy (Pete) for reasons 10+ years ago that may or may not have been valid. Mostly they hate him because of the lower prices. I really like HansAuto because he uses...

Re: How do you Prove a Off-The Shelf used injection pump!
You might be able to salvage most of the old fuel if you treat it with a biocide. My 300TD had old, dark diesel in the tank, I put in a bucket and treated it. The black settled to the bottom then I poured most of it into jug and used it later. Diesel biocide is good stuff to have around. For small d...

Re: How do you Prove a Off-The Shelf used injection pump!
More people should ask this question. I put the pump in a vice and spin it with a socket using a 1/2" variable speed drill to get a visual of it's operation. Rig up a small fuel system with 1/4" tubing (clear), fuel filter on the suction side, and the return side going back into the fuel j...
