yup yup

I know the two part epoxy would probably be the best solution. I guess what i was looking for is to see what the O.D. of the shoulder on the gear is so i can go buy a snap ring and when i get a free minute to pull the cluster and the speedo and pop it on there and put it back together and install ag...

pressure adapter riser

I found while in communication with adaptall the following info. I gather from your description that you would like a bushing that is male 12x1.5 - female 12x1.5 rigid in an attempt to gain at least 1" of standoff. For small quantities I suggest a two piece solution, part # 9001-12-12( male nip...

1.6NA to eco diesel whole swap

I have found a 92 or 93 (couldn't tell) jetta with an eco diesel engine and 82K miles and was wondering if anyone had any input on how hard it would be to pull my engine and install the ecodiesel engine trans combo. I am not at all familar with the little details of the eco. I have acces to the whol...

smoke

Is it white white smoke or a bluish white smoke? and how many miles on the engine. cause white is oil, blueish is unburned diesel, and black is lots of burned diesel. if it is at high RPM you could have bad rings letting oil get into the cylinder from the bottom or lots of blow by spewing oil into t...

oil leak

if you are leaking that much oil you should be able to warm the engine and let it run on the ramps as the iol pressure will show the leaks. if it that bad you should be able to see it right away. there is usually a pretty good amount of blowby but it should not be spewing oil out to cause that must ...

screw the seal

Very true, it can be done this way but I try to minimize all risk of damageing the crank where the seal rides. I have seen it done that way before on the big caterpillars that have a wider seal. I would like to mention the risk of scoring the crank surface or the aluminum housing with the screw if i...

Not a problem if i have an answer i will forward it if i know it is correct. if i dont know i will try to find the info so i know it is correct. as above the same is for the rear seal. it has a housing as well but obviously the tranny will need to come out to get it.

flushing the pump

Also you will need to check the "out" banjo bolt because there is a screen in there. you can shoot some brake clean up in there to flush the screen out as well. if you use a paper towel to catch the crud you will see how much stuff was in the pump that could have neded up in your injectors...
