I too am fighting fueling/air issues and posted a thread for direction. As far as lines most Advance/autozone/o'reilly's carry metric brake lines if that makes it easier... I too have contemplated making new lines...OR just buying a 25' roll of 3/8" aluminum tubing and making my own.

I have a '81 1.6 N/A that I pulled the pump off of a parts car that ran great and put on another motor. The motor runs but has air in the line. I have gone out to start this one and saw no air at start-up then as it warms you see the air build, other times it has air from start-up. You can see that ...

MKI to MKII 5spd to 5 speed trans swap

I bought a 1985 1.6TD Jetta but 2nd gear syncro is shot...does not matter how i shift or how long I hold the clutch---GRIND! On the other hand I have a 1981 Jetta 1.6 n/a that has a 5spd... I looked them over and it looks like I can unbolt the bracket/mount under brake booster...The shifter linkage...

yes! I am asking "Hagar" for assistance... Found the epoxy 2216 a/b Grey $44 for the small tube set.

how do you go about putting the layer on? just the block deck? or the head as well?
