I think that is one of the questions Coke PMd Hagar. His response was to put the mix in the freezer and see how much wax it will hold before it starts to cloud things up. FAQ :how do I adjust ? ---simple a small sample in freezer and I adjust the cloud point.----hell even a caveman can do it --EH ? ...

protecting the fuel lines
When I ran my fuel line under the Rabbit, I ran it inside some exhaust pipe.

oil out the dipstick
I think they were drilled out to 5/16".
Yours isn't an A2 Jetta so look at your intake and see if it has the two ports for the vent to go to.
I drilled mine out with the intake on the car and a shop vac hooked up.... it worked for me.

It even has the little plastic knob still on it.
It hurt when there's no knob and the metal lever digs into your finger.

missing posts
Well I joined Oct 2002 and my first post isn't until Jan '03 so I must have some missing posts... that's about the time I posted it too. The problem was caused by too much pressure inside the block and the solution was to drill out the restrictors in the intake. The A2 Jetta that was having the prob...

turbo diesel surging
My golf used to surge and had a slight bucking at a certain RPM... until I did the governor mod.
Hard to explian, it requires you to pull the top off your injection pump and replace a spring with a washer.
How's the smoke (color, density) during your power loss?

ammeter
Mine cost me less than $3 at hosfelt.com.Philosophically, I figure I can pull these out and use the battery charger many many times for the price of a high-amp meter...
Dash mounted ammeters are cheap.

energy fair
Yeah, it's a great fair. Showing a car in the alternative fueled vehicle showcase has always been free, plus they provide a place to camp and an invite to the Thursday night dinner. This year they are providing a tent and making the alternative fueled vehicle area a big thing, really promoting it. A...

injection pump leak
Welcome to the forum.
There are several threads about this seal. Doing a search should help or taking a look at the FAQs should give you a good idea of what it'll take to change this seal.
You'll need to remove the injection pump.

The midwest renewable energy association is having their energy fair soon. http://www.the-mrea.org/energy_fair.php The first year I showed the Fatmobile, I was the only one there with a vegy burning car. The second year I was still the only one there with a vegy burning car. The 3rd year there were ...

Kinda off topic but I just got a gasser GLi that has sat for awhile and the fuel is bad. ... so I'm going to have some spare bad gas to get rid of. It shouldn't have any toxins... any more than usual anyway. I just can't figure anything constructive to do with it so I might filter it and add small a...

10"
I'm not sure it's 10", it might be a little more. Also, I run coolant from the engine in a 5/8" piece of heater hose. When it gets to the HWH it splits the flow. Half goes back to the tank and half goes toward the filter. This doubles the coolant flow and provides plenty of heat to the fil...
