Yep. One little spline and she shifts well in to reverse again. Fifth is slightly tricky now.

It's amazing what one spline will do. In fact, I should go out and monkey with mine right now.

All of the 11mm head bolts are Socket (Allen) head cap screws, so you won't need the triple square tools. I would however heed the advice and get the stud kit. If I ever rebuild the engine in my caddy I will definitely do this.

Sorry for your loss. I'd be willing to throw you a few bucks for the front window sashes. I imagine they're still OK.

I'm agree completely with this. This has always been my experience when driving in higher elevations than Wiscoland.

I've found it much easier throughout the years to have the vehicle up on ramps or jack stands and lower the drive-train. In fact I don't think I've ever pulled one through the top.

Since you're renewing a lot of other parts, why not just get new drums? They're cheap enough.

Dumb question. Did you reconnect the glow plug wire/bar?

Except that Alberta has enough tar sands to harvest at breakneck pace for decades... and if we don't leave that stuff, and coal, in the ground, the whole planet will hit several tipping points causing runaway global warming, killing us all.
