Would 90W gear lube work as a lubricity additive? No airports are particularly close around here for AeroShell, etc. WAAAAAYYYYY too much zinc and other additived in 90w gear oil for use as a fuel additive. Zinc is the stuff that causes the rotten smell in gear oil. Better to use straight weight 40...

Where did you order the shell aviation oil from hagar? I went all over shell's website and could only find the oil listed, nothing as to where to buy it. Did you buy it from a website or a store? Let me know. Thanks. Coke, I called Trajen, a local aircraft repair facility at my local airport, and t...

The gods must be crazy
Hagar,
My bunny is also a bit rusty(doors, mostly), but it's a beloved part of the family.
Not much difference in pull between wax/ no wax. Im going to do it again later.

Wax job
Well, I've run wax (450 g. per 11 gal) in the rabbit a whole day now. SOUNDS smoother, and FEELS like it's running smoother, but nothing I can prove. One thing I have noticed, though. While monkeying with the CS knob while going down the road, I have noticed that it gets much easier to pull out when...

Wax in the fuel
I just added some wax to the fuel. I cut it into a rectangle and filled the tank. It went right in. My Snap-On guy pulled into the station as I was doing it, aked a bunch of questions, and we put a full brick in his tank. He's also a vw diesel nut. Has an 05 Golf TDI he wants to sell for $19,000 whe...

Need factory(looking) fuel tank cap for 83 VW rabbit diesel.
I lost my fuel tank cap off my 83 rabbit diesel. I don't need a locking cap, just want the original style cap for the car that looks like a five pointed(only not so pointy) star. New, used, whatever.

Need a gas cap...
Well I finally did it. I lost the gas cap for my 83 rabbit diesel, and need a new one.
Anyone have a spare factory cap they'd like to part with? I tried one from NAPA and it doesn't fit or look right(yeah, I know, I'm a vain bastard).

first thing I'd do is take the neg terminal off the batt. and connect a test light or yhe continuity checker of your meter between it and the neg. post. Then I'd remove every fuse, one at a time until the light went out or your continuity checker went off. Then you'll know which cicuit is giving pro...
