Be sure to change the little brass push rod bushing too

If you messed with the max fuel screw try turning it out a turn or two, get it so it'll idle good and and give the slightest wisp of smoke at full power.

Is it blinking steady or flickering? A bad body ground will cause the light to flicker.

It strange to think that the nasty, cowardly PMer is reading all this and hopefully feeling really dumb but will probably never come forward.

The cutouts in the pistons are for the flamefront and are not lined up with the valves, neither are they deep enough.

Rather than checking the t-belt you should just change it, unless it's cracked and dry rotted you'll think it's new and they don't cost much anyhow.

Have someone push the clutch while you watch the lever on the tranny, maybe hold the lever up then see how much more it goes up when the pedal is pushed.
