Oh and this is why Hagar is always saying not to keep the wax in sunlight. I cant' remember what it does to it but it does do something. The two containers hold the same amount of wax and diesel. The one on the right had been exposed to a few days of sunlight. http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l163/...

454 grams of paraffin wax in 3 litres of diesel is A LOT! You will need to keep the diesel at a high temperature in order for it to stay liquefied. I put just under 30 grams of wax in 0.6 litres of diesel and it barely stays liquid in 20 degree ambient temperature. I figured out the problem with thi...

The hills coming out of Saltery Bay are pretty steep. The terminal itself is pretty steep now that I think of it actually. Good numbers Hagar!

P.S. I will be coming down there around the August long weekend! :)

Put in a boost gauge to check on boost levels. It's possible to have boost lines blow leaving you with little or no pressure left.

A good idea would be to wire in an indicator light to tell you when the glow plugs are actually on. I didn't know this before, but the yellow glow plug light does not correspond to the plugs.

To do this simply add a wire coming from the busbar on the glow plugs to a 12v rated LED.

When the signals stay solid and don't flash, this can often mean that the hazard light switch is not working.

Do you have it disconnected? If it's not connected the turn signals do this exact thing.

Try switching in a spare if you have it.

Marbles mid range usually mean that your internal pump pressure is set too high. I know on my car I am not able to set it to Hagar's spec because I get the marbles as well.

Bring it down 5psi and see what happens. You will most likely need to do a lot of playing around before you lose the marbles.

Awesome camper! Very very nicely done!

Once you get a boost gauge you can start tuning the pump a bit more. Also an EGT gauge might be a good idea too if you are pulling a camper.

Boost Gauge Buzz Fix DIY

My new cheapo $5.00 Princess Auto 0-30psi pressure gauge (my boost gauge) was buzzing after I dropped my old one and had to replace it. For some reason the last one didn't buzz at all but this new one did. I even went back to exchange this new one and the next one buzzed too. Damn... So after readin...

Do you mean at a glass place or a junkyard? Glass place I wouldn't know as I don't have a rabbit, but I've seen many at the junkyard.

I was just going to say... I don't think WD40 would be a good product to use on your hoses. We all know what diesel does to them, WD40 isn't that far off!
