Oil disappearing and oil pressure gauge fluctuation
just drove over 900 miles round trip. I just changed the oil before the trip. on the way back the bar gauge started fluctuating from 2.5 to 3.5 back and for fairly rapidly with no change in foot pressure on the accelorator and grade of slope. then buzzer came on when turning curve. so I pulled over ...

gear oil fill level
I just did my gear oil as per bentley.
says tranys after 08097(mine is awy26010) has oil filler hole 7mm higher. no need for speedometer drive cable/ 0.5l.
well before 2 full quarts were in, it drained out the fill.
suggestions?

cheap gear oil flush
Most of the time when I drain a trany the gear oil is very nasty. I like to drain it and run a couple quarts of cheap gear oil for awhile to flush it out. Is the drain plug a magnet? fatmobile- what do you get a cheaper dino gl-4? how long do you run it for a flush? and how do I identify the old ge...

full tranny oil change
Just a curious question about mixing standard dino oil and synthetic oil. If one was to start using the Redline fluids and add to the transmission without a full change, anyone know if there is an issue with this theory? I've got 347K on my 020 and no crunches in any gear, but I'm wondering if it's...

transaxle gear oil and 17mm hex
Looks like my transaxle has some oil leaks. What's the difference between redline gl-4 and gl-4 at the local parts house? they don't carry the redline local here that I can find. so I would have to pay shipping which is about the cost of a quart or two of the redline. plus I can't find a 17mm allen ...

the whole on the gauge is octogon shaped(longer vertical then wide). not the round tube.

upper timing belt cover mounting washers
A1 stuff. The allen bolts hold the passenger side motor mount on. The piece in the picture is what the A1 upper timing belt cover bolts too. The bolts go through this, then through the motor mount, injection pump bracket. Even has the small spacer, those can be hard to find. You'll need a washer to...

wvo, timing belt cover, compression tester
In that video, it sounded like cyl #2 was weak. (Maybe it was just the video). I would pull the injectors, dissemble, and inspect them. See if #2 does have some debris in it. Switch to making biodiesel. It's a bit more work, but you won't be damaging your fuel system. how do you damage your fuel sy...

5 bar gauge now working
thanks
got it working.
now just need to figure out the lights.
what should the 5 bar gauge run at on a diesel?
at idle I am at about 1.5-1.75.
running at low rmp is 3-4.
and at high rmp and higher speeds about 55 mph= 5+ bar.
