All time sales figures for Diesel Rabbit, Golf, Jetta?

Has anyone ever seen a listing of sales figures for the Diesels?
Like from 1977-on?

Thanks

Starters.........gas/diesel

If I ever knew....I have forgotten........

Is a Diesel Starter different from a gas starter?.......(92 Jetta 1.6 N/A Diesel)
If so........how?
Are there different starters for the 1.6 N/A.......Larger/smaller/High torque/regular ?

thanks

Things don't "go thru", they "go in" and find somewhere expensive to lodge themselves. Gravity is funny that way... I guess you didn't get to the next post before you posted that....... "Just drilled it out.....the chip worry is a moot point as the restricted ports are very...

GOOD news! Just drilled it out.....the chip worry is a moot point as the restricted ports are very thin. Only minimal chips made.....and they stuck to the grease on the drill. The orig holes were about .157 (4MM) diameter.....I took them out first to .216 (5.5) and it was better at idle, but still w...

.........Ah.......thought you meant 'don't drill it out'.......

I agree.....but........that ain't gonna happen.
I will stick the vac cleaner hose down the runners also.......beyond that, the alu. chips will just have to 'go thru'.......

Wish the chips luck.......

Wishing you all the luck in the world, as that's a bad idea, IMO.

Then exactly what would you suggest?
I'd be very curious to hear........

And so then I shall DRILL....... :D

Over the weekend........I will dip the drill in heavy grease in hopes the chips will stick to it and minimal will go into the internal abyss to reek havoc....

Wish me luck!

Blowby past the rings will be in the crankcase most, and blowby past the valve guides would lead to pressure in the valvecover area. Only for the sake of argument and because I think I have a fairly strong background in basic I/C Engine Design, I will argue with that point. Just because someone doe...

Is the blowby pushing oil out the dipstick? It was until I put a new O ring on the dipstick and bent it a bit so it fits in the tube tighter. It was a mess initially when I got the car..... Good news on the restrictions in the manifold fittings........just what I was hoping to hear. I will investig...

You can try to connect the port on the block with a "T" connector to the valve cover and then to the intake manifold. What port on the block? From the brake vacuum pump? This is an early 1.6 non turbo.......... Did you give the cover a good inspection for distortion? Already said.....YES ...

I put the (very expensive) rubber gasket on it 3 months ago. The cover is not deformed. I don't think this would be a problem without the excessive blow by..... I'd go with a cast cover if I knew which one to get and where to get it for sure! But the important question is: Why doesn't the pressure v...

1.6 NA .....Pressure buildup in Valve cover

My engine is tired.....I know because there is quite a bit of blow by.....you know how they get.....At idle, when I pull the hose off the fitting on the cam cover, there is quite a lot of pressure released. It is at the point where oil is being forced out between the cover and the head. It runs down...

I want a BIG fast starter....for cold mornings

Is it possible a VR6 starter would fit on a 1.6 Diesel?? That might just turn this thing over faster on cold mornings ! If I had to I'd even think about taking some other larger starter and adapting the VW drive and mounting flange to it. Another 100 cranking RPM would do a world of good in ...

I wonder how much voltage is on the bus bar now that it starts?
Well.....If I had to guess.....I'd say there was zero volts when it wouldn't start and then 10.5 or so when it did....

It's about the relay either not working at all or working like it should, not
low voltage to the GP's.

LED.....nozzles......NOW I get it!
That could be handy to install......

I just went out for lunch......and got a 'bad start'......no glow.
I wiggled the GP relay and it started good the second try.
Gotta look over the socket and maybe change the GPR itself....
