Sorry, but I'm not sure what it is called. It is the bolt with a hole in it. The hole is threaded to accept another bolt which is used to raise and lower the air conditioner coompressor. I'm pretty sure I had an up-shift indicator that I immediately disconnected when I got the car. Didn't realize it required vacuum too. So, that can go.

Is the check valve required? Can I just use a vinyl "Y" barb?

Ok, I FINALLY got around to checking this... I unhooked all the hoses from the pump and hooked up my break bleeding vacuum pump (great idea by the way) and was getting between 25 and 28 instantly and sustained. I was able to exchange the pump for the correct one.

Just got it installed over the weekend... what a difference! It starts in 2 or 3 cranks after sitting overnight without a block heater and is noticeably more powerful (which isn't saying much, but still!).

Hi All, I just got a remanufactured IP, and it is identical to my old one (the original for the car) except that it doesn't have anywhere for the extra assembly for the cold start lever. The original has an assembly with stops so the lever can only move so far in either direction and a spring dealy....
