i got it fixed. i put a new IP on it. New hoses and belts too. I need to work on the brakes next because i basically have none. And rebuild the shifter b/c i cant hardly find 1st and 3rd. Other than that it is ok. i have about $1k in it now after the pump.

i just replaced the pump. i got it runnin good. I still have a few issues to work out but hopefully it will be on the road soon.

anyone have any pictures on how to do this. i get the general idea, but pics are always good.

i think i am going to send the ebay pump out to be resealed. i found a place that will do it fairly cheaply and it might be easier to do it now rather than later. i will try to free the flyweights up before i take it off to put the other one on. How hard is it to get the top of the pump off to check...

i bought another one off ebay for $94 so i am going to try that.

I bought a jetta a while back and my friend finally got it running, but when you start it it is only at wide open throttle. He said that some spring in it or something crapped out on me. Is there something i can do other than rebuild it or replace it to fix it?

i had flat front tires, then cranked the straps tight till the tires formed around the straps. I pulled it to the guy i took my golf to, and didn't have any problems either.

i took it to the shop and i will probably keep it now.

I put the jetta up for sale incase i need the money to fix my golf. I have 2 people that want to buy it if i can get the title from the guy. hopefully he will get it soon.

talked to caleb, he says it is probably going to need rings. He doesn't have the tool to check the bore, could i get by w/ just putting some rings in there and pray that it will be good?

took the golf to the doctor today. That was an ordeal. I got the tow dolly at 7:30. I had my uncle help me roll start it and left it idle for a while. He left and i tried to pull it up on the dolly. I killed it I spent the next hour trying various ways to pull it up the ramps until i woke my wife up...
