Re: 45mpg+
I would try to turn the smoke screw out 1/4 turn it will have less power but will also use less fuel. You may have to turn up the idle stop screw so it will idle with out stalling.

Re: Off topic - Garage Heaters?
I bought a used pellet stove for 500.00 last summer. I have a 24x24 insulated garage and It heats it great. I would look for a good used if I were you. I have used kerosene heaters the fumes are bad for you and they are loud.

Re: Diesel Suddenly not starting- GP on all the time
If the engine won't turn over it could be the wire that plugs into the starter silonoid. I have bumped that wire off on my Rabbit. It will not turn over if it's off. Not sure about the glow plug problem.

What is the part number for the switch on the side of the head? Not sure the one I have is working right. The one I have is white should I be using the black one? 1984 1.6 VW Rabbit diesel Turbo engine.

Ok thanks.
I am putting a eco turbo set up on this engine soon. Would have been nice it it was a turbo block.

kkk 14 turbo
Just bought used kkk 14 turbo off e bay. I'm not sure if the oil is coked up inside. Is there anything I can do to clean the the inside with out taking it apart? Should I try to take it apart and clean or just run it as is?
