I'm sorry this isn't a definitive answer, but when i had just started my shop where i was converting vehicles to run on VO , i had some one come in with their F350. He had done a decent conversion, but was having running issues- poor idle, intermittent low power etc. He had been getting all his WVO f...

I had the same problem when i got a pump made by Giles because i didn't send him the pump i had on the motor ,but another i had lying around. Use a pulley from a 1.6 . It has a deeper offset than the 1.9 pumps and will line everything up.

Try this: disconnect the vacuum line from the booster, pump the brakes a few times to release the pressure and then try it. The other possibility is that the adjustment at the booster rod is wrong. Not to sure it would cause your problem, but should be checked anyways.

Cause i need to kill some time and a it's a good story: One guy i was working with-i'll call him german steriod boy, once did the same thing on a 2.0 l jetta. After a while the assistant service guy, who was then helping him after an hour of swearing, came and borrowed my thin long magnet. They coul...

Nothing special about that transmission. If it's slipping though, i would think about getting a rebuild kit, or at very least diagnose the exact issue. The seal that leaks gear/diff oil into the trans is not the converter seal, but the ones when you split the trans and diff. easy to do without even ...

Look around on line. There are a couple of places that sell kits at a third or half the price, And without the stupid dual mass flywheel.

Any information that you have given out will be discounted by your attitude. I don't even want to read about your blend , and i have over 1000 liters of good WVO to be used. I'm surprised you didn't use all caps to "tell" us about you're amazing discovery. And as an aside, i know of anothe...

As for quieter-well that will take much much checking sites like the Samba for what can be done. Good luck with that one. Fixing that intake will help. But at each stage it'll only go down by minute degrees [or in this case -decibels]

It's either an earlier 1.9 l because it doesn't have the large crankcase breather, and possibly from a past industrial setup. Or a 1.6 with a 1.9 head, but unlikely unless the guy you got it from knew what he was doing. Look under the truck . At the bottom of the block , on the side almost facing the...

That is what i was always led to believe. The IP can be set-up when it is to be used with a lift pump.

Not adjusting tighter, or adjusting too tightly, they're a PITA. You can convert to a complete non-"self-adjusting" brake setup from an earlier, pre-1979 parts car. IMO... the wedge self-adjusting mechanisms are not one of VAG's finest designs. I know of quite a few VW dealership techs wh...
