another simple test I was told to do, was to get the engine up to temp and take the oil fill cap off, if it spews oil then your rings are bad/worn. It is a cheaper test than the smoke machine and one you can do yourself. Cause if your rings are bad they pressurize the crankcase and thus spewing oil.

where is a good place to find window seals (all of them) and door seals (I guess they are called rain rails that run the top of the golf)?

injector leak
I tested the injectors (loosen the fuel line to see if RPM dropped... it did on all of them). They are new nozzles so they should work good. The problems I am running into are that the injectors are leaking where they break apart (lower and upper treads). is there a gasket for this or do I just need...

I found where there was trouble with the heater core and that they were recalled in 92, will the stealershi...

exhaust options
I decided today that my golf wasn't a quick fix but more of a project car and it is time to treat it like one. That being said, what optionon are there out there for exhaust? I don't want glass pack type, just quiet (impossible for diesel but hey) and inexpensive (the wife is keeping tabs).

85 golf fuse block
Does anyone have a pic of an 85 fuse block (under the steering wheel) that they could post. I have the book, but it is easier to see a pic of it.
Thanks

what gauge flat fuse goes here
I noticed that this flat fuse( if this is what it is called) was kinda burned thru and needs to be replaced, but I am not sure what it is as far as an amp number (ie 20 25 50...etc). It looks like this : http://www.imagecoast.com/images/robmee/0701081328a.jpg and it goes here http://www.imagecoast.c...

injector rebuild for biodoesel
should I get the normal 140 pop nozzles or should I get the 155 Mercedes nozzles? I will be running B100 in the very near future. Also if I did go with the 155 is there anything I would need to do with the pump to get it to produce the higher pressure?
