Well i said i would report back when i know more about the seal prob, I checked weephole behind seal and it was fine , this time however i did grease the seal lips and so far so good 100+ miles. I did'nt feel grease was needed on the first seals as the shaft was still wet with diesel, but i guess th...

Yes i agree, even though i only used a light amount around outer seal ring i still think it's possible a tiny amount may be blocking the hole. I really appreciate everyones input and you can be assured i will thoroughly clean recess and won't use any type sealer again. Once again thanks to all and i...

Hey Fatmobile i stumbled upon a statement made by a guy who claims if the weep hole behind the seal is stopped up that it would build up pressure. I found this by googleing leaking injector pump shaft seal. Well anyways i might have became my own worse enemy. When i put the first seal in i used a li...

I guarantee you that i now always suspect ign. switch. I had a restart prob. on my 1.6 na and finally after checking to make sure it was getting voltage to solenoid during running position, i tried an experiment and hooked up a meter during cranking and sure enough there it was, an extremely intermi...

Surging / jerking revisited
Well it looks like i finally was able to cure my jerking/surging prob. with my 1.6 na. I took a known good pump and resealed it and now my problem is gone. It nows pulls steadily now with no bucking or surging. What inside a I.P. could cause it to act that way? I can only think the governor maybe?
