Re: No Start
Ok I have done a little more research. What I thought was an idler pulley is actually the intermediate shaft. This is where the timing belt is slipping off. I do not have the alternator, water pump, a/c, or p/s hooked up yet. Would any of these effect TB alignment? I have seen other posts where peop...

I installed a rebuilt head, victor reinz head gasket, and arp studs. New timing belt and timed IP all according to the Be...

Timing Belt Problem

The problem is after I install the belt, the crank marks no longer line up. I have taken the belt on and off several times and sometimes the ma...

Re: Torqueing Head Studs
I did chase the holes with a tap and put the studs in finger tight.
So I take it you had no ill effects when that happened to you on your head? I REALLY dont want to take the head back apart!

Torqueing Head Studs
I was torquing the ARP head studs on my 1.6L Turbo engine (rebuilt head & victor reinz head gasket) I followed the instructions that came with the head studs including using the supplied thread lube. I had something strange happen on the final torque of some of the studs. They would start to get...
