They do that for short time after GP light is off,and you start engine.

I don`t have screen for 6 yr,mostly because I weld 1/2" for fuel line,I more like to change fuel filter than intank screen on road,but that`s me.

check-valve is good in summer,but in winter time it know to stick( more if you put before IP ) so you maybe have to knock slowly before start,fuel became as glue.

pushing the top of the IP towards the engine is ADVANSE as I know.

And ,which oil do you have,pressure isn`t same for 5/30 and 15/40.

Good point,
I lose bright look on pinatle,but in MY case that dont hurt anything.

Last time I try 50/50 atf/acetone with same vinager and find very good,alone acetone/atf dont do much on nozzles,next time I`ll do only vinager to see difference but I belive that vinager is BEST.
ps.I try to cook water/vinager for nozzles and don`t too much,that is when you don`t have ultrasonic.

If you can get cabin heat your pump is 90% good,pharhaps there is`nt best FLOW ,you can JUST try without therm.but just to try.my 2c.
